Interoperability and security as pillars to ensure trust in ehealth services

Security

One of France top priority is to set security and interoperability at the heart of the challenges of the digitalization for its health system.

Indeed, since 2012, 2 frameworks have been released by ANS: the General Security Policy for Health Information Systems (PGSSI-S) to set the relevant standards and good practices for Information System security in the health sector and the interoperability framework (CI-SIS) to define technical and semantic interoperability to be used in the health sector.
On top of those pillars, ANS also develops several national ehealth projects.

PGSSI-S has been the foundation of security and has been constantly enriched since its creation. Many other initatives led by ANS have also improved the security of ehealth in France.

National Projects

Fullfilling one of its role, ANS is operating several major national ehealth programmes to make the public health service more efficient and cohesive.
