To accelerate the digital transformation of the health system for the benefit of patients and professionals, the Agence du Numérique en Santé has been officially tasked with implementing national-scale projects.
Active from the creation and rolling out of national systems (for emergency services, poisons units, dealing with the aftermath of terrorist attacks) to the setting up of single national portals (a portal for flagging undesirable healthcare incidents, santé.fr) and the harmonising of existing systems in the regions (Operational Directory of Ressources, telemedicine, information systems of regional healthcare coordination authorities, regional disability advice centres, e-treatment, Simphonie invoicing systems, and application of the decree relating to biology laboratories).
